Rachel Leatherbarrow

Rachel is an architect with experience across a diverse range of project sectors, including cultural, civic, residential, education, and workplace design. She is passionate about projects that balance conservation with contemporary architecture, celebrating craftsmanship and responding sensitively to their context.

Having worked at award-winning practices in London and Edinburgh, she brings expertise in community engagement, consultation, and the creation of masterplans for complex settings within the UNESCO World Heritage areas of Bath and Edinburgh. Prior to joining OCA she has also contributed to the Stirling Prize shortlisted Storey’s Field Community Centre in North West Cambridge and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Gallery at Westminster Abbey which received an RIBA National Award.

Rachel joined OCA in 2025 and is currently working on a range of community projects and homes, and is taking a key role developing the technical design for the North Sutherland Health and Social Care Hub.
